Fund Accountant

TDS Personnel is partnering with a leading firm to source a highly analytical and detail-oriented Fund Accountant. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing the financial lifecycle for private equity funds, handling everything from day-to-day transaction recording to complex capital calls and investor reporting.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare accurate quarterly and year-end Financial Statements for private equity funds.
  • Calculate and manage waterfalls, performance metrics (IRRs), distributions, and capital calls.
  • Maintain the accounting system to meticulously record all fund transactions.
  • Collaborate with auditors during annual audits and tax filing activities. Assist in preparing partnership/corporation tax returns, HST returns, and FATCA/CRS reporting.
  • Prepare bank deposits and wire transfers. Review and reconcile inter-company accounts.
  • Field and fulfill ad-hoc requests and inquiries from investors.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of solid, dedicated experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting.
  • A strong working knowledge of private equity accounting principles, specifically around waterfalls and performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with AltaReturn is considered a strong asset.
