Communications Specialist

Our client within wealth management is seeking on a temporary to permanent basis, a skilled Communications Specialist to join a collaborative communications and creative team. This role is responsible for developing clear, engaging, and informative content that supports investment-related communications and enhances client and stakeholder understanding of portfolio strategy, market perspectives, and financial concepts.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer, editor, and visual storyteller with experience translating complex financial information into accessible and compelling content for a range of audiences. Please note that two writing samples demonstrating writing style, tone, and communication abilities (e.g., articles, blog posts, essays, or other published/unpublished work) must be provided upon request as part of the interview process.

Responsibilities :

  • Create and manage investment-related communications materials, including presentations, website content, commentaries, and marketing collateral
  • Develop written content explaining portfolio positioning, market conditions, investor behaviour, and investment strategies
  • Produce data visualizations and presentation materials that communicate financial concepts effectively
  • Edit and refine content created by subject matter experts to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to gather information and develop strategic messaging
  • Support proposal writing, RFP content development, and other technical communications assignments
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and within established timelines

Qualifications:

  • Strong creative writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Experience explaining financial or investment concepts to varied audiences
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management abilities
  • Adaptability and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with: Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) and website content management or development tools
  • Post-secondary degree in English, Communications, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Completion of financial industry courses or certifications is considered an asset
