Technology Manager

Our client within wealth management requires a Technology Manager to join their team. This highly collaborative, hands-on role ensures technology runs reliably and seamlessly every day. The Technology Manager leads a small team and key vendor relationships to deliver exceptional support, continuous improvement, and integration across the technology ecosystem.

 

The role is both a fixer and an integrator, able to roll up their sleeves while managing the roadmap that connects the business systems into a smooth, secure, and scalable environment. It will best suit a systems-minded professional that thrives in small, fast-moving environment where technology strategical enables client outcomes.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage delivery of technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.
  • Integrate commercial platforms (Salesforce, SharePoint, MS365) with our proprietary TOM3 reporting system into a unified, reliable ecosystem.
  • Lead and develop the technology team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and speed.
  • Oversee our technology vendors, ensuring SLA performance and rapid issue resolution.
  • Hands-on problem-solving technology breakdowns, problems, and challenges, direct support to users
  • Manage business resumption protocols. Triage and coordinate advisor-impacting incidents to restore service quickly.
  • Ensure data security, incident response, compliance, and standardization across systems.
  • Manage technology renewals, licensing, and procurement, supporting the CFO with budget forecasting and cost analysis.
  • Manage vendor SLA’s, project scoping & deliverables
  • Champion new technologies (automation, AI tools, analytics) that enhance advisor and client experiences.
  • Simplify processes, reduce friction, and foster digital fluency across the firm.
  • Provide quarterly updates on performance, risk, and ROI.
  • Define and maintain key metrics: uptime, SLA compliance, and system adoption.
  • Ensure all systems comply with security and privacy requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a similar role, strong enterprise-class systems thinker
  • Hands-on problem solver. Strong abilities around root cause analysis, project coordination and organizing. Experience working with MSP vendors (TELUS), CRM platforms (Salesforce), cloud-based solutions.
  • Relevant Microsoft technical certifications, cyber-security designation a plus, experience with AI systems / CoPilot, DLP, Purview, E5, and SharePoint. Fundamental knowledge of network infrastructure. Comfortable supporting desktop hardware. Apple Mac experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrable ability to drive multiple tasks and projects to timely completion in a dynamic team environment, working with and through specialists.
  • Strong supervisory and managerial skills, demonstrable leadership abilities
  • Demonstrated expert-level communications skills, both written and verbal, ability to capture and present information clearly and concisely, particularly in a sales-oriented financial services firm.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted professional relationships and coordinate across a team.
