Real Estate Analyst

Job Description:

Our client within mortgage investments is seeking to add a new member to the team. This individual will directly report to the Director of Asset Management and will be an integral part of the analytics team.

Responsibilities:

• Underwriting value add opportunities for new assets or portfolio acquisitions.
• Inputting financial and operating data into financial models and performing financial statement analysis.
• Improving proprietary financial modeling templates that are dedicated to the various investment platforms.
• Drafting investment presentations designed for internal review and external investor approvals.
• Generating various analyses and reports for senior management to support their business decision making.
• Interfacing with accounting/financing team in verifying the validity of business unit operational data and conduct variance analysis.
• Preparing the data component of quarterly reports for investors and/or interim reports.
• Assisting in the preparation of the financial analytics and forecasting aspects of the annual asset and portfolio plans.
• Providing analytical support for any special projects on the various business platforms.
• Assisting in investment due diligence activities whether they be modeling, analytics, and/or research.
• Supporting the development projects as it relates to feasibility modeling and research to arrive at the optimal return on investment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three to five years of varied real estate underwriting experience in the commercial asset classes.
• Working knowledge of real estate financial and accounting concepts that will enable them to be comfortable interacting within all the expertise levels in the organization.
• Exceptional financial modeling skills with the ability to articulate theoretical ideas into interactive mathematical simulations.
