Job Description:

Our client within financial services requires a Product Manager to join their team. As a Product Manager you will assess, build, grow and maintain the broad portfolio of savings annuity products available on the annuity platform.  This position will be visible and interact with financial institutions across the industry and will require the ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities:

Product Management:

    • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of annuity products on the various savings annuity platforms
    • Manage the product lifecycle from product build to product launch to ongoing maintenance for Indexed, Fixed, and Variable annuities
    • Acquire, organize, and distribute documentation necessary for products, rates, and analytics
    • Build new products and riders; update existing products and riders on the administrative system
    • Analyze product elements that are new and/or new to the industry and present those findings to a committee to help determine the appropriate implementation path
    • Conduct internal quality assurance testing, assess validity of existing processes and controls, and recommend changes as needed

 

Relationship Management:

    • Maintain relationships with annuity insurance company partners to ensure that product requirements and needs are addressed appropriately on the platform
    • Provide insurance carriers with technical support and troubleshooting
    • Effectively work and communicate with internal product, quantitative, actuarial, and technical resources to maintain and enhance the product and analytic platform
    • Assist in product related issues with annuity distributors, third party platforms, and other clients
    • Represent the business within various industry committees and conferences

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of financial services / 3 years of annuity product experience; related roles may include product management, project management, competitive intelligence, business analyst
  • Excellent analytical and documentation skills, and ability to deconstruct and simplify complex concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, influence management, collaboration, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence to present ideas in a compelling manner but can also listen and engage in a productive dialogue to find “win/win” solutions
  • Some travel required (annual conference)
