Job Description:

Our client within private equity requires a Corporate Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries and prepare financial statements for corporate entities and the management companies
  • Assist in booking journal entries in private equity fund managers
  • Assist in preparing corporate and partnership tax returns
  • Assist in preparing capital calls and distribution notices of private equity funds
  • Prepare bank deposits, wire transfers
  • Reconcile bank and GL accounts
  • Full cycle of Accounts receivable and payable duties, including expense reports
  • Managing firm’s cash flow requirements
  • Allocation of deal expenses and reconciliations
  • Prepare HST returns
  • Other ad-hoc reports and analysis

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of corporate accounting experience with investments and tax
  • Accounting designation desired, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple demands, competing priorities, and constant change
  • Ability to allocate time effectively and manage tight deadlines
