Job Description:
Our client within financial services is seeking a Consultant Database Specialist to join their proposal and database team. In this role, you will be challenged to ensure accurate and timely representation of affiliated investment firms and a wide variety of investment management strategies in external databases. You will learn about a broad range of public and private investment strategies and coordinate with subject matter experts in portfolio management, sales, legal/compliance and investment operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, complete, update and maintain profiles on databases for all X investment affiliates and strategies; this involves working closely and collaborating with subject matter experts from all business areas.
- Establish and conduct an audit program to periodically review the accuracy of information appearing on databases.
- Review existing processes for supporting databases and make recommendations to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our processes.
- Complete surveys and questionnaires from clients, prospects, consultants and other external audiences.
- Assist with preparing and maintaining various reports and files required to support the database process.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance or similar and a genuine interest in the investment industry.
- 2-3 years of experience in an institutional investment firm, bank or trust company will be beneficial to your success
- Time management, project management and attention to detail are some of the skills required to be successful in this role
- Completion of relevant industry courses would also be an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate yourself clearly and work well with others to resolve complex issues
- Strong team player and committed to contributing and supporting a team of like-minded individuals who are driven and have high standards.
- Possess a positive attitude and be an enthusiastic person who will seek to improve existing processes and help to implement creative solutions.
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
