Job Description:

Our client, a property management company requires a Senior Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing high volume of accounts receivable and payable transactions
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Baking and processing of bank deposits and receipts
  • Managing government remittances to ensure deadlines are met including HST, WSIB, and other CRA payments as required
  • General bookkeeping procedures including journal entries
  • Maintain accurate general ledger, analyzing and completing the trail of supporting documentation for all financial and bookkeeping initiatives
  • Preparation of year end packages for external accountant, respond to year-end inquiries and record all adjusting entries
  • Tenant related processing including billings and managing PAPs
  • Filing and maintaining accounting files
  • Reporting to management on pertinent accounting details
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting program
  • 4-5 years’ experience & a solid understanding of all bookkeeping procedures
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Pro
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced skills within MS Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality
  • Strong work ethic with meticulous attention to detail and highly organized
  • Effectively manages priorities and successfully meets all deadlines
  • Exhibits sound judgement and can independently follow through to resolve any issues that may arise
