Happy Mother's Day

by TDSPersonnel Admin | May 12, 2017

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at TDS Personnel. We want to take this time to recognize and celebrate all of the wonderful women who work hard to raise, support and love the next generation. Some of our staff shared what Mother’s Day and their moms mean to them.

“When Mother’s Day approaches it forces moms to reflect about what it really means to be a mom.  It means we are there for each moment for our kids – from their tears to their innocent laughter – to the moments they hate you and then can’t stop giving you hugs and kisses. Being a mother is the best job I have ever had and for all the ups and downs, I would never change a single moment with my two boys.”
- Lindsey

“Some days being a mom is tiring, overwhelming and hard, and for a while when I was younger I didn’t even know if I wanted to have children. But I’m so glad I did. The love I have for my kids completely outweighs the frustration I sometimes feel – watching them grow, hearing about their days, and teaching them new things makes it all worth it. Mother’s Day is a great day to spend thinking about the most important job of all: being ‘Mom.’”
- Beth

“My mother is the strongest woman I know, raising four girls on her own working over 80 hours a week. She is the reason why I am the person I am today. She is my rock and my best friend in the entire world.”
- Katarina

“My mother (or Marmie as I call her) and I have always been extremely close and I admire her deeply. Having her own successful real estate company, rescuing any stray animal in need of a home and her open door policy to literally everyone she meets are just a few examples of how she inspires me. Her generous spirit, endless patience and ability to see the good in everyone and everything are qualities I hope I’m able to instill in my own future children. Cheers to all the Mothers on their special day but I am truly blessed to have the absolute best!”
- Kendra

“My mom and I talk, laugh and think the same. As a teenager the thought of becoming my mother was horrifying (teenagers, right?!) but now it’s something I’m proud of. She's strong willed, funny, smart and would do anything for her family. My brothers and I are grateful to her always watching out for us – she’s patient, loving and has incredible energy; always working on a project and learning new things. She always says all she needs on Mother’s day is our love but in truth, it’s us that need her. Happy Mother’s Day, Jane – love you more!”
- Lisa

“My mom didn’t usually offer spoken sage advice…instead she ‘lived’ and we ‘learned’ by example. Her bar was always set high and she always gave us unconditional love and support regardless of our path. Throughout the years I would say the life lesson that imprinted us the most was to always be considerate of how actions affect others and that is why an excerpt from “The Laws of the Navy” was woven into the tapestry of our family’s moral compass. It reads “On the strength of one link in the cable, dependeth the might of the chain. Who knows when thou mayest be tested? So live that thou bearest the strain!” Thanks Mom, your legacy lives on inside us and I’m so grateful for your wisdom and inspiration.”
- Sherry

"Having a long-distance mummy is always a little harder on holidays like this, especially when your mom is your best friend and hands down favorite lady in the world! Knowing that I can pick up the phone and hear her voice and words of encouragement every day means the world to me and I can’t imagine I would ever have moved to Toronto on my lonesome last year without my traveled, wise and sophisticated mummy as my role model. Happy Mother’s Day everyone!"
- Cara
